Mr. ,W. P. Kirkwood is resigning his seat on the Mount Egmont National Park Board.
Mr. James Vile, Feilding, died on Friday. He had reached the rip t . ape of over eighty years. The late Mr. Job vile, formerly member for Manawatu, was a brother of deceased.
Mr. J. Miinro, late manager of the Bank of Xew South Wales at l'atea, who lias been transferred to Stratford, was entertained hy liis Masonic friends of the Kllwinhig lodge on Wednesday evening and .presented with a jewel. i Mr. James McMcuainen, owner of the Terawhiti station, whose kindness to Uie survivors of the ill-fated Pengi.n has brought his name into such creditable prominence, .has been presented by the.
