COMMITTED FOR TRLiL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ashburton, July z3. At the .Magistrate's Court to-day Jas. Gill w-.ta committed fur trial at the Supreme Court, Christehurch, on charges of breaking and entering and assault. ALLEGED BIGAMY. Auckland, July 23. At the Police Court, William W. Logan, otherwise known as James Hogan, was charged with having committed bigamy by having on October 2, 1007, gone through a marriage ceremony, though he was previously married, with Elsie Warren, in LauTiccston, Tasmania, his wife being still alive. Accused was committed for trial, and allowed bail in two sureties of £75 each and self £SO. "TWO-UPPERS" FINED. Wellington, July 23 Another batch of "two-uppers" appeared at the Magistrate's Court today. Ten were fined £3, with an alternative of a week's imprisonment; another pleaded not guilty, but admitted lie had lost £IOO since Easter and had been twice convicted! He was fined £5, in default one week's imprisonment,
