Mr. Keir Hardie, speaking at Northumberland, advocated the general stoppage of British coal-fields to support the Scottish miners. He wanted to see the solidarity of the working-class movement exemplified in this struggle. MINERS IMPRISONED. FOR STOPPING WORK. Keceivcd July 111, 11.0 p.m. London, July 10. One hundred anil sixty miners were summoned at Gateshead for non-payment of damages for stoppage of a pit, and were sentenced to seven days' imprisonment. They were imprisoned in batches.
