V.'I'KTPORT COAL OUTPUT. By Teiegraph.—Press Association. Westport, Last Night. Last week's coal output from Westport constituted a record, being 18.575 tons .'iewt., as against 18,401 tovis Itawt., the previous best record, established in the week ending July 3. The details are as follow!—Westport Coal Co., 15,483 tons; Wcstport-Slocktoii Co.. 1711 tons Scwt.; Seddonville State mine, 1,180 tons liicwt. AVARSHIP'S QUICK PASSAGE. AA'olliugtoii, Monday. H.M.S. Encounter, which arrived from I Auckland yesterday, made the run from ! port to port in thirty-two hours. The I average speed wn* 17V, knots an hour.
