~ . I The Hon. Dr. Findlay, Minister nt Justice, leaves Wellington on Monday for Dunedin, where lie lectures on 23rd July, under the auspices of the Frobel Spciety,' on "The Man in the Street." On the 21st July Dr. Findlay gives a political address at Dunedin. He goes on to Invercargill, where he is to receive a deputation in regard to the employment of prison labor on certain reclamation works.—Pres.-; telegram, Mr. George Harris, formerly of the Custom- Department and at one time well known in cricketing circles, Is dead. During the war he was a troop sergeant-major in the Hawkc's' Bay cavalry, and was present at the storming of Omaramii Pa. —Press wire. Miss Dwyer, of the local telephone exchange, .lias received notice of transfer to CliribMiurch, for which place .she leaves in a few days. Miss Greatbach, from Wellington, has arrived to take her place. =======
