Owing to disturbances and pillaghg, martial law has been proclaimed throughout Bolivia. The latter has rejected the frontier award. In some quarters it, is Interpreted that the rejection is equivalent to a declaration of war. There ii a great exodus of Peruvians from Bolivia. The award made by the President of the Argentine Republic required Bolivia to restore to Peru a portion ui me territory which the former sold in 1907 to Brazil for £2,000,000.
