They arc member* of tlie United Mine Workers, an American organisation. The remainder, who belong to the Provincial Workmen's Association, did not strike. One thousand strikers attacked the property of the latter' association at Bay City, in the State of Micliigan. The'Riot'Act '.van read, and 1000 troops with two machine guns had to be sent to cope, with the disturbance.
