COLONIAL CONGRATULATIONS. Bv Cable—Press Association.—Copyright London, July 8. Ninety tariff reform meetings were held in London in honor of Mr. Joseph Chamberlain's birthday celebrations. Practically every constituency in Australia and New Zealand sent congratulations. They have given Mr. Chamberlain great satisfaction.
A ROYAL TRIBUTE. London, July 8. King Edward, in opening the new University buildings at Birmingham, regretted the enforced absence of Mr. Chamberlain, to whom his Majesty paid a high tribute.
