A cable from the High Commissioner dated July 0 states that the wool sales commenced with a large attendance and good competition. Values are at the same price as at the end of last sale, except for inferior and coarse crossbred, which was y„d cheaper. The present prices ruling are'.—Superior merino, Is to Is 3'/,d; medium merino, liy,d to Is OVid; inferior merino, !»d to lly,d; line erossbreds, all grades, Is Id to Is 4>/,d; medium erossbreds, all grades, [ 10y 2 d to Is 2d; coarse erossbreds, all grades, "d to ll'/id.
