The Senate at Washington, sitting as a committee of the whoki, passed tin TarilF Amendment Bill, with an arm..■•• incut imposing a duty of two cents per ton in any one year on the tonnage t,( all vessels entering the United Btn -1 from foreign ports, in North and Central America and certain countries m South America; and from sis cents, not exceeding thirty cents, per ton per annum on vessels from all foreign port*. These duties eliminate reciprocity in shipping duet.
