HEMINGWAY AGAI-N. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Wednesday. in the .Magistrate's Court 10-dlly, James Hemingway was brought up on a number of charges of burglary. His brother John, who was arreted in Sydney, was charged wilh having been connected villi two of the burglaries. James pleaded guilty to all the charges, and staled he liiul given some of the stolen articles to his brother, who was not aware they were the proceeds of burglaries. The Magistrate (Uncharged John Hemingway, and comm.licd his brother to the Supreme Court for sentence.

THE CHURCH BURGLAR. Wellington. Wednesday. In the Miigis'iratc's Court, Michael Breunan pleaded guilty lo breaking and entering St. -Mark's vicarage and Church end stealing money and jewellery. Accused was committed, to the Supreme Court for sentence. MOTOR CAR DRIVERS FINED.

Christchurch, Last Night. Several motor ear drivers were lined to-day for driving at excessive speeds in the city and suburbs. A SHEEP FARMER FINED. Nelson, Last Night. At Tnknka to-day, I. Docteon was charged with sending in a. false return, stating that he had <lipped sheep. He was convicted and fined £lO and costs. It is understood to be the first prosecution of its kind in the Dominion.
