MASONIC INSTALLATION

, The annual installation of De Burgh Adams Lodge took place in St. Mary's . schoolroom on Thursday evening. P.M. Bro. Goldwater acted as installing master, and installed Bro. W. C. Nix™ as Worshipful Master for the' ensuing term, y P.M's Bros. Beadle, Whittle and Hammond ably assisted in the installation >- ceremony, which was very impressive. 1. Tiie newly-installed W.M. then invested !, his officers as follows:—Bro. H. Beadle, - 1.P.M.; Bro. L. Hammond, D.C.; Bro. R 0 Corney, S.W.; Bro. R. O. Ellis, J.W; Bro. J A. Goldwater, P.M., secretary; Bro. T. 0 O. George, organist; Bro. R. J. Dean, S.D.; Bro. W. J. T. Wiggs, J.D.; Bro. i E. A. Golding, 1.G.; bro. E. J. Sole, S.S ; Bro. A. A. Wooler, J.S.; Bros. J. J. Lepine and J. W. Haydon, assistant stewards. A resolution svnipatiiisi lg I with Bro. W. F. Broui ;:•;;, P.M., in his serious illness was proposed bv Right Worshipful Bro. F..P. Corkill and seconded by Right Worshipful Bro. Williams, .both speakers being eulogistic of the valuable services rendered to Masonry by Bro. Brooking, and wishing him , a speedy recovery. After the service the brethren present adjourned to a banquet in the Brougham Street Ha'., ( where Bro. West had an excellent , spread awaiting them.
