HOCKEY.
THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR. By Telegraph.—Pres3 Association. I Auckland. Last Night. It is probable, in consequence of the Canterbury Hoekey.Association refusing to give the Auckland Association any guarantee, that the Auckland v. Canterbury match, set down for decision at Chrislchurch on August 19, will be abandoned, and a match with Southland at Invercargill substituted. The latter body has offered the Aucklanders substantial financial assistance.
