A PECULIAR CASE! By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. A peculiar case under the Immigration Restriction Act was settled this morning. The Customs authorities refused to allow a seaman of the Union Company's Waipori to land on the grounds that he was suffering from tuberculosis and not a resident of New Zealand. The Minister of Public Health finds that though the man originally shipped at Sydney he has for some time been on the ship's articles as from New Zealand ports, lie is also registered as an elector of the Dominion, It was decided to let him land.
