SATISFACTORY PROGRESS. OVER 90 BARRELS FOR THE WEEK. There stems not-the slightest reason to doubt that a payable oil well has at last been struck and -proved at the Taraeaki Petroleum Co.'s No. 2 bore. A fortnight ago the horc, which had been gradually increasing its outflow for some weeks, produced 48 barrels of separated oil for the week. Last week 00 barrels were secured, and from the rate of flow during the prevent week, it is almost certain that the week's operations will produce between 110 and 100 barrels, equal to 15 daily. The well is still "dry" so far as water is' concerned. At no time in the history of oil-boring in New Zealand have such quantities of oil been secured, and never have the prospects of a steady yield been anything like so good. " ',
