WATER RECEDING. Sydney, June 28. The river at Albury, after rising 17 feet, commenced to fall. Reports from the other centres show that the worst is past. The rivers are falling, though there is. still au immense quantity of flood water to come down. The' losses of stock are not serious, but great damage has been done to bridges, roads and fencing. Vast iiumcbra of rabbits have been drowned. Melbourne, June 28. Tlie floods'have commenced to recede. At Seymour the river broke its banks and covered the flats for two miles wide. Chinese gardeners suffered severely. Yarrawonga, Tallangatta, Woodonga, and other places are surrounded by seas of water. Many people removed to places of safety. The damage is chiefly confined to fencing', roads, bridges, and other property.
