The death occurred on June llth, at lexlcy, New South Wales, of Mrs. John Honcyfielil, at the age of SO years The I deceased lady was formerly' „ resident of New Plymouth. Mr. F. E. R. Muller, touring manager ol the "Frolics" Comedy Concert Company, from Xew York, is at present in town completing arrangements for the company's appearance here on Thursday evening. Jtiehard Arnst, sculling champion, arrived in Wellington from Wanganni last night, accompanied by Floyd, Fogwell, anil Jack Arnst. A large crowd (savs a press message) met tin* party at the station, Jupp's Hand assisting. The champion was escorted to an hotel, where the lion. T. McKcnzie extended a welcome to Arnst. The champion goes on to CJiristcniirvh in a day or two.
