RESIGNATIONS AND APPOINTMENTS. Received 27, 5 p.m. London, June 20. Lord Fitzmauricc (Chancellor of the Duchy of Ijancaster) and Mr. T. R. Buchanan (Under-Secretary -for India) have resigned their positions in the Government on the ground of ill-health. Mr. Herbert Samuel (Under-Secretary for Home Affairs) succeeds Lord Fitzmaurice, and the Master of Elibank , takes up tho position of Under-Secre-tary for India.
