MAX'S ECCENTRIC ACTION. London, June 24. i _ Dciich, who 'barricaded his cottage at St. Ulazey last April, was sentenced to six years' penal servitude. He pleaded guilty, and explained that he had been maddened by boys teasing hiiu, Dench, armed with a rillc, barricaded hiriiself iu a cottage at St. Blazer (Cornwall), ami wounded four besiegers. He kept the police at buy for almost a week until he was starved into surrender.
