SEEING THE SIGHTS OF SCOTLAND. Received, June 23, 10.10 p.m. London, June 23. In fine sunshine the Press delegates and their ladies journeyed by steamer 1 from Balloch to the head of 'Loch) Lomond, returning to Inversnaid; thence they proceeded by coach to Stroaaciilachar. After sailing across Lorli Katrine, they drove to Callander, where they took farewell of the Lord Provost and other Glasgow hosts.
PROOFS OF BRITAIN'S RESOURCES.] Mr. Davics (of Hobart), speaking a-. the Glasgow Corporation banquet, said proofs of Britain's resources were seen in the hives of industry outside London, It was a great object lesson to the delegates. The sight of the nucleus of tho Commonwealth navy upon the nocks suggested the hope that Australia's fleet would eventually become of great assistance to the Motherland. WHAT COLONIALS CHERISHED.
Mr. Fink (of Melbourne) said the citizens of'the oversea dominions cherished far above the Old Country's wealth tliej qualities, traditions and sense they inherited from Britain. To Australians, Glasgow was more than the commercial capital of Scotland. It was a model m many respects, especially in connection with local government, a place whe.e the sense of Imperial citizenship ha.l fructified and strengthened by dally aft Hercncc to sound principles of municipal government.
