A STRANGE CASE
A (JUAIUUSL AXD A SUICIDE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Edward Dillion, lias been drowned in the harbor. The circumstances of the case seem to point to the fact that the young fellow, who is described by his foster father as being '• peculiar,"' took ids own life in a lit of passion after having a quarrel with his guardian. Young Dillon was the adopted son of I'. JS. Dillion, of Ponsonby. The latter stales that the last time lie saw the boy was shortly after seven o'clock last night. The boy and Hi's. Dillion disagreed over something, and young Dilli.ll went out on .to the verandah. Mts. Dillion followed him out to try and pacify him, but lie was- deaf to all advances and all entreaties to come inside the house. The boy answered, "No, never!" He then ran away down the street. A pair of slippers he was wearing were found about 50 yards down the street this morning. The body of the boy was found floating in the harbour.
