TARAXAKI OIL AND FREEHOLD COMPANY. A meeting of the directors of the Taranaki Oil and Freehold Company was held yesterday morning. The manager reported that the indications were of a very encouraging character, and that lie considered it expedient to at once 'put in the Bin. casing to the full depth of the present boring in order that a water tight joint might be made before proceeding with the drilling. Excellent samples.of oil have been received from recent pumpings. Applications for a number of shares were received and allotment made. A transfer at a premium was also passed.
