AUCKLAND HABBOR BOARD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Xight. At the annua! meeting of the Auckland Harbor Board, tile chairman (the Hon. E Mitehelson) submitted the statement of accounts and returns for the ytar ending December 31st, 1008. The total receipts in- the general account for 1008, including Ibalanee from the pre-' vious year and refunds, was< £141,057 0» oil, the net revenue being .£101,719 IDs' 4d. The net revenue for 1007, exclusive of refund of accrued intercut on debentures sold, was £03,718 8s Od. There was thus again a large increase (amounting to £BOOI 10s lOd), which justified tin 1 «x,pi'ctatioa that the average increase for the past several years would be, 'maintained during the next few years. The profit upon tltc year'#, transactions amounted to £20,351 18„' 7(1, with the addition of the previous year's balance of £20,1-25 8s Od, inakhg a total of £40,477 7s Id. After writing oil' depreciation, the balance carried to the new account stood at £21,382 4s !ld. The additions to capita) values during 1008 amounted to £140,012 17s 4d, the net value of the property of the Board at .'list December last being £1,240,440 los lOd.

Dr. M'Arthnr, S.M.. held that the original note was a debt payable in bankruptcy and under section 13-1 of the Bankruptcy Act an order of discharge releases bankrupt from that debt. Judgment wns entered for defendant.
