POST OFFICE EMBEZZLEMENT
POSTMASTER AND MESSENGER COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ,Rotorua, June 5. At the Magistrate's Court A. C. Norris, postmaster at Whakatane, pleaded guilty .. to embezzlement, and was committed for sentence. Bail was allowed ia one sum of £350 and two sureties of £175 each. James Simpkins, messenger at the IXI iWhakataae post office, also pleaded guilty of embezzlement and was committed for sentence, bail being allowed.
