The newspaper Xachrichtcn, commenting on the iiainer'fc visit, which the German scmi-ollleial newspapers ascribe it due to the Czar's invitation, declares that German diplomacy's duty is to drive hi still further the wedge between Britain and Russia and smash the understanding between them wherever possible. It concludes by hinting at the possibility of Germany assisting Russian | ascendancy in l'ersia.
