FIRES.

A WELLINGTON CONFLAGRATION. By Telegraph.— Press Association. Wellington, June 2. A ten-roomed house in Upper Abel Smith Street, close to the Terrace gaol, owned and occupied by Mr. Lewis H. 11. Wilson, sharebroker, was totally destroyed by fire between four and five o'clock this morning, together with its contents. The insurances on the residences and outhouses are £450 in tne Alliance and £2OO in the Phoenix. The contents arc insured for £330 in the Alliance.
