In si. breach of promise case, Florence Ethel Kelly v. Robert Rtt-s, in which £i~)\) damages was claimed, there iwais no defence, and .C7o Were awarded. The only other ease heard was l an appeal of Martin Metzzer against the conviction by a magistrate for .having driven «. car through Rivcrlon at a greater speed than allowed oy the bylaw. It was contended for the appellant that the by-law was had in that it was not made in accordance with the Motor Regulation Act, which provides for the publication of the bv-law in local papers and the erection'of signposts stating the speed in the streets, The conviction was quashed on the grounds that the by-law was bad.
