DAMAGES AGAINST A TRAM COMPANY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Diracdin, Thursday. In the Supreme Court Margaret Clough was awarded £l5O against the Kaikorai Tram Cohnpany for injuries alleged to have been caused by negligence. It was claimed by plaintiff, who is 70 years of age, that when in the act of alighting from a car, defendant's servants in cha\ge of the car negligently caused it to move on, whereby she wns thrown and seriously injured, having her leg broken. HEAVY LIST AT AUCKLAND. Auckland. Last Night. The business at the. Supreme Court, criminal and civil, is s o heavy that Mr. Justice Sim has been instructed to conic to Auckland to assist Mr. Justice Edwards. There are 72 criminal cases on the list, 17 only having been disposed of so far, and 4.5 civil cases, 25 being divorce suits.
