Bowling analysis.—Whitty, five wickets for 30' runs; Macartney," two for 44; Cotter, none for 27; Xobl'e. one for 32; Armstrong, two for 45. Hay ward played a very quiet inniugs, lasting 105 minutes'. Hobbs' was neat, varied play.*' His innings included six tourers. Hayes played free, stylish cricket. The first wicket fell for 101 runs and the third for 100. Marshall's batting was uneven, though he made some good drives. Crawford made a wretched start. He was missed before scoring by Cotter off Noble. His partnership with .Marshall lasted-40 minutes. The fourth wicket vuut down for 170. Crawford improved and indulged in some powerful driving, but the wicikels fell too fast, Whitty secured his live wickets with the last 10 balls, oil which two runs were scored.

Busby's first three overs proved disastrous to the visitors In the first he secured Noble, who had batted soundly for fifty minutes.
