» CONSERVING THE POWERS' INTERESTS. Received May 17. 11.50 p.m. ' London, May 17. It lias been arranged that a German proup shall appoint a ehief engineer for 500 miles of a section of the Hnin-kow-Clmngtu railway in Hupih; the British group to appoint n ehief engineer for the Canton Hankau Railway; and a British or French engineer to be appointed for the subsequent extension of the Changtu Railway. The three groups participate in equal terms for the supply of material and a 5V!> million loan.
