The Dailv Mail's Salonika's corregpon. dent reports that Talaot Bey, vice-pre-sident of the Chambers, secured Abdul Humid's signature to the withdrawal of funds from the foreign banks. Some reports mention that the transfer of two millions, and state that Talaat failed lo obtain the keys of two strong rooms at Yildiz Kiosk, where the ex-Sultan had his palace, from officers guarding the residence at Salonika. Thereupon he'compelled Abdul Hamid to surrender the keys.
