At ilio afternoon's meeting of the Auckland Agricultural Association, a letter from Mr. William Taylor, of Te Awamutu, stating that Ire lifUl disposed of his famous Grcvnhill stud because of what he inscribed as the "shameful treatment" of liia stock by the Railway Department, going and coming from tiie Cambridge show. On that occasion his stock were in the truck •211 hours, and it took that time to travel a distance of 54 miles. Somo oi the horses were so badly injured that they could not go into the show ring, ami several had ".lot at the time of writing recovered from their injuries, lie waited at Xgarotu from 11 a.m. on the day they were trucked to return until 4.4.'i 11.111!. and when he saw how the stock were injured he rode off thj next morning to Hamilton and arranged for a clearing sale. To run a stud, as he had done for the last 15 years it was necessary to exhibit, and if he went to Palmefston North with several tracks of his brut slock, worth about £2OOO, and there was ;\ similar delay, the chances were they would just be about killed. It was decided to forward a copy of the letter to the Railway Department. '
