SATURDAY COMPETITION.
At a meeting held on Saturday it was decided to form a Warehousemen's Cltib. The following officers were elected:— President Mr. J. D. Sole; vice-presidents, Messrs. C. H. .Burgess, M. iiuser, F. S Johns, G. Ramson, : T. C. Schnackenberg, and R, Davy; secretary and treasure", Mr. W. A. Boucher; club captain, Mr. W. R. Johns; selection committe., Messrs. Hawkins, Stohr, and Dimes; delegate to the association, Mr. A. V. Stohr. It was decided that amber arid black should be the club's colors, KEFEREES' ASSOCIATION. . The Taranaki Referees met last night, when there were present: Messrs. Griffiths (chairman), Smart, Roch, War, Hopkins, Woods and West.
The Xew Zealand Referees' Association wrote that the handbook on the laws of the game and comprising the latest rulings and interpretations, was again being published.—lt was decided to procure four dozen of the handbooks and sell them at sixpence each. Mr. T. Pf;tty wrote tendering his resignation as an active member of the Association. The resignation was accepted with regret. Appointments for Thursday's games were made as follow:—Senior: Clifton v. Inglewood, at Inglewood, 3 p.m., Mr Roch; Star v. Tukapa, at New Plymouth, 3 p.m., Mr. Hopkins; Stratford i. Eltham, at Eltham, 3 p.m., Mr. Spurdle. First Junior: Clifton v. Inglewood, at IWaitara, 3 p.m., .Mr. Way; Eltham v. Stratford, at Stratford, :j p.m., Mr. Woods; Star v. Tukapa, at _\'ew Plymouth, 1.30 p.m., Mr. West. Second Juniors: Clifton v. Inglewood, at Inglewood, 1.30 p.m., Mr. Roch; Eltham v. Stratford, at Eltham, 1.30 p.m., .Mr. (Spurdle; Star v. Tukapa, at Xew Plymouth, 1.30 p.m., Mr. Smart.
The following will represent the Star seniors v. Tukapa oil Thursday on tn's Recreation Ground, as o p.m.:—L. Clow, It. Pike, L. Hill, E. Pfankuch, W. Whitaker, C. Brown, G. Hawkins, A. Dixon, W. Woods, W. Davidson, A. Gray, L. Ryan, A. Richards. The following will represent Star 11. v. Tukapa IL on Thursday, on Mie Recreation Ground, at 1.30 p.m.: R, Hoskiu, G. Back, C. Bellringer, M. Julian. A. Pearce, S. Main, L. Whitakcr, L. Brown, G. Lowe, Tu Atua, J. Burrows, F. Steele, C. Lealand, E. Harding, I. Bullot.
The following will represent Star 111. v. Tukapa 111. on Thursday, on the Racecourse, at 1.30 p.m.: E. Clow, T. Mulon-', H. Crockett, W. Vincent, H. Holmes, A. James, Coleman, X. Copestakc, J;. Richards, A. Mack, J. Kururangi, J. Skipper, A. Evans, W. Ross, \V. Dustow. Emergencies, West and T. .Stockman. The following will represent Tukapi XI. in their match with Star 11. on Thursday next: D. and C. Webster, Burt, Hodges, Jlorey, L. and 0.
