DEPUTIES IN DISGRACE.

Tokio, May 10. In connection with uic sugar scandals at Tokio, many arrests have been made. (The Sugar Company spent 120,000 yen in bribing iifty deputies to secure its nationalisation.
It is improbable that the Constitutional party, which controls the majority in the Diet, will rally from the blow.
The public applaud the Government's energy, and believe tile exposure will have a salutary effect in commercial circles.
