The body of the mini found in the bush ill Para on Tuesday ha*' been identified as Walter JJlackic, who for . sonic time lived at Blenheim. He was committed to the Wellington Asylum last November, but was released about three months ago. A WOMAN'S SUICIDE. Dunedin, Saturday. Mrs. Jeffries, wife of a farmer near Berwick, committed suicide by hanging lierself at the 'foot of « bedstead. She was in ill-health, and had been confined to bed. Three years ago she made a . similar attempt, which nearly succccd- [ ed. '' ACCIDENTALLY POISONED. Ciore, Saturday. A three-year-old hoy, son of J. G. '' Mackny, picked up some pollard rabbit ' poisoning, and, mistaking it for oat- " cake, ate some of it and died to-day.
