ATMOSPHERIC DISTURBANCE AT NELSON.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson. May 7. Mr, Clement Wraggc's atmospheric disturbance " Millar " has arrived in the Xolsun district. Torrential rain feu last night, preceded by heavy showers in the afternoon. The Mai-iti river was in the highest Hood known for years, and the district and roads are under water, which in places is several feet deep. It is expected that considerable damage will be dune. Xo damage is reported so far in the city. AS ANTARCTIC DISTURBANCE. Auckland, May 7. Mr, Clement Wrag'ge says the new Antarctic disturbance advised on Hay 3 was southward of Cape l.eewin. It travelled rapidly, and all New Zealand was ipiickly coming under its iulluence. Its advancing isobar look decidedly ugly, especially in the vicinity of Cape Farewell. Heavy winds and squalls may be expected from between north-north-west and west and south-west and south, with vicious seas and exceeding umcli rain. Cook's Straits and the .southern half of the Dominion will be most affected, and for a period between May S and 14 will fall under the inlluenci! of tile disturbance, which will make things pretty lively, especially in the South from the fortieth parallel of latitude. Wellington very particularly will feci the disturbance.
