MEETING OF CREDITORS.
A LIVELY SCEXH. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Auckland, Last Night. A meeting of creditors this afternoon resulted in a lively scene, and finally u resolution was carried instructing the taking of criminal proceedings against the bankrupt for perjury. The bankrupt was llrs, Annie .Nicholson, storekeeper, of Whitianga, Mercury Bay. Al a previous meeting she admitted signing her husband's name to orders, and stated thai in the fumigation of the store a large number of receipt's were burned, and these receipts were the accounts that Here now being claimed against her. In ellcct, slut alleged that a number of the principal business linns of the city had become aware of her loss of receipts and were trying to make her pay over again.
