r By Telegraph.—Press Association. Oamaru, Last Night. Another mysterious lire, occurred here on Saturday night at il.-10, when H. (i. Brown's basket and furniture shop was discovered 011 lire. There were foiu shops in the block. Brown's stock was almost totally destroyed, lint the brigade prevented the lire spreading, although the stocks in other shops woredaniaged. The insurances are not yet known. COTTAGE DESTROYED AT NORMANDY. Early 011 Friday morning a fourroomed cottage at Normality, occupied by Mr. \V. Hunter, county ran- ] ger, and owned by Mrs. 0. Dill, was destroyed by lire. The outbreak started in the kitchen. Nothing was saved. The house and furniture were insured, but the amount was not available.—Star.
