i)HI5i:ll~(.ai:uoll. A (|iiiet Iml -pretty wedding was solemnised at the residence of Mrs. Hooper. New IMviuouth, on Thursday afternoon, the contracting parties being Mr. Frank Orbell and Miss \V. Carroll, both ot tlii- town. The bride was daintily attired ill a green ehiil'ou taffeta costume trimmed with silk Maltese laee, and wore a •'merry widow" white hat trimmed with green pluniiv, The boilijiiet was of niaidenliair ferns, white roses, and Marguerite daisies. The bride also carried a handsome prayer-book, the gift of the bridesmaid, and wore a handsome unique brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. Mis* McKi-own acted as bridesmaid, anil was charmingly dressed in a brown glace silk trimmed with ohl Limerick lace, and wore the. family jewels. Her hat. a "merry widow" amethyst-tinted chip, was trimmed with violets, pink rosebuds, and autumn tints. The bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaid was an embossed Xellie Stewart bangle. The Rev. Dean McKeuna performed the marriage ceremony. Mr. Harry Linn -being best man. After the wedding feast, in the course ol which the usual toasts and speeches were given, Ih,, happy couple "drove to the breakwater and proceeded to Kottmia via Auckland, where the honeymoon will be spent. The list of presents was a long one. and included many valuable gifts and chc<|iies.
