THE CHARGE AGAINST TOM
Received 20, 10 p.m. Sydney, April 20. The Judge, summing up in Tom Mann's case, said Mann's speeches were materially against him, for they showed that he 'was at all times prepared to oiler resistance to the police. The jury, after five hours' deliberations, returned a verdict of "not guilty." TOM MANN'S MIGHTY OATH. . ADDRESSING A OROWD. Received 30, 12.30 a.m. Sydney, April 29. Tom Manu addressed a. crowd shortly after his acquittal. He said he would not have whimpered if he had got five years' for the job. They were one* more released from man's oppression, hj« said, and by the God that made them he would let the caiptalist crowd know it in future.
