Auckland, Last Night. ln>peelur Allen received a telegram from Constable Carmody, of Whangaroa, to-day, slating that a six-roomed house was destroyed by lire last night. The building belonged to Mr. Cornelius Clothard, and hud been rented to Mr. Long, a dentist. The house, which was valued at C2OO, was insured in the South British office for -CUM). Tt is not known whether Mr. Long's effects were covered bv insurance.
