DOMESTIC SERVANT PROBLEM.
To the Editor. Sir,—Being interested .in the domestic servant problem, 1 naturally was anxious to see what was done at a late meeting held here, and I confess I was surprised to tear that our worthy Mayoress is out of sympathy with the idea, and his Worship remarked that they could always get girls and keep them. So could we all fifteen years a"o, when Mr. Tisch had the hotel. Since then tilings have changed. To keep to facts, it is well known that people keeping hotels had and still have less difficulty in procuring help than those in private houses. The reason is obvious. To the writer's knowledge, the abovenamed lady has not employed domestic help since she has been out of business. Even site might now find it difficult to procure satisfactory domestic help.—l am, etc., HOUSEKEEPER.
