HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS.
Splendid weather conditions prevailed for the High School athletic sports, li.'ld «n the Recreation Sports Ground yeslerdny afternoon. There was a large attendance of parents and friends of the scholars and a good number of old pupils of the M-lwol. The track was in splendid order. A number of the events; .hew very large Holds, and some splendid finishes resulted. As a result of the excellent appointments made by the management committee, all enjoyable afternoon was spent both by competitors and spectators. In a large tent on tho ground, a refreshing cup of tea was obtainable, the refreshments being provided and dispensed by the girls of the school. At the conclusion of the sports the scholars gave three cheers for the visitors. Following were the results:— 150 yds Handicap (under fourteen)— First heat: C. Day (scr.) 1, Colson (:i yds) 2, Bayly (scr.) 3. Second heat: Sinclair ("2yds) 1, Grant (Iyd) 2, Kelly (syds) 3. Final: Day 1, Grant 2, Sinclair and Colson (dead heat) 3. Time, 19 4-ssec. Sinclair and Colson ran off for third place, the latter winning. 100 yds Handicap (over fifteen)— First heat: Malone (owes 2yds) 1. P. Amburv (lvd) 2, Mackav (2vds) 3. Second heat: R.
