I TAKANAKI ASSOCIATION'S ANNUA,', 'MEETING. Tilt.' annual meeting of the Taranaki Hockey Association was held in the Town Hail last night. Mr. F. I'. C'oikill (president) presided, and there were delegates from lnglewood and Stratford. The annual report (already publisued) wan adopted.

Regarding the tour of a representative team, Mr. Averv thought that a trip to ChrisU-hiircli'and Duu.-diii was out of the question, as finances -would not permit. He proposed that the team play a match fn r the shield against Auckland, from which place they could journey to Napier, then play Wairarapa, Wellington, Palmerston North and Wnnganui. Th:- motion was carried. The secretary was asked to obtain an estimate as to the probable cost of the trip. It was decided that entries for tins Clarke shield competition close -on April 22nd, and competition start on May (itli. The secretary and -Mr. J. E. Avery were appointed a committee to arrange the fixtures. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr. F. P. Corkill (re-elected); vice-presid-ents, the presidents of affiliated clubs; ton. secretary and treasurer. Mr. J. Strang; delegate to New Zealand Association, Mr. P. N. Uundle; management committee, club delegates. The appointment of a selector for the representative team was deferred. The chairman proposed a vote of thanks to the retiring secretary (Mr. R. Mclsaacs) for his past services*—Carried unanimously.

It was decided to send a valedictory letter to members who have left the district, expressing regret at their removal and an appreciation of their past services.

Mr. Avery moved that only one referee be appointed for representative matches.—Carried. A vote of thanks to the chair and the Press concluded the meeting.
