LABOR IN POLITICS.
SPLIT OF THE INDEPENDENTS. KEIR HAKDIE AND OTHEII LEADERS RESIGN. Received April 14, 10.5 p.m. London, April 14. The conference of the Independent Labor Party at Edinburgh provided a sensation. Messrs. Kcir Hardie, Philip Snowden, Ramsay Mac Donald, and T. Glasier (Glover?) resigned their membership of the Administrative Couucil owing to the conference adopting a vote of semi-sympathy with Mr. Victor ({rayson, and suggesting that the Council should endeavour to come to terms with Grayson. Mr. Blatdhford and othel- irreeoncilables, who object to the Council, ucsire to work with the Liberals. The members who have resigned considered this a vote of censure. A hottempered debate ensued, and the conference begged them to reconsider their decision. Mr. Glasier resigns the editorship of the Labor Leader. [On Monday the conference, by 322 votes to 64, agreed to a resolution (directed against Mr. Victor Grayson, member for Colne Valley) that no salary be paid to members of the House of Commons refusing to sign the constitution of the party.]
