COLLAPSE OF A BUILDING
JVOKKMEN KILLED AND INJURED. Melbourne, April 14. ; During a heavy squall a large twostoreyed frame budding in the course of construction for the Oriental Timber Company of Geeloag, collapsed. Fourteen of the thirty men employed at the bwlding-the majority of whom were working on the roof—were m'"two men named Gleeeon and Nicholeon suecunibed to their injuries; ten otfhers were taken to the hospital, three of these being in a serious conJust prior to the collapse the foreman decided that it was too dangerous *a continue work owing to the higli wind, and ordered the men to cease. s£ e was engaged making everything secure when the crash came, • A number of men on the ground Boor had a miraculous escape. Ib« toppling structure was blown right over them without injuring them. Much difficulty was experienced in .rescuing the injured, and were jambed pmong the debris.
