Registrar of Deeds and F.xamincr of Titles for Hie Auckland district, succeeding Mr. Edwin Hamford. wlui has, been appointed Registrar-General of Lauds. Miss Cariuicliael has resigned her position of. teacher at the Tulutawa school, and intends leaving the service. A very large ami representative Maori meeting took place on Tuesday afternoon in the historical meeting-house, Tainati Kapua, at Ohiiieinulii. Rotonia. the occasion being a Maori farewell to Mr. Donne. Mr. Donne was presented with Maori mats and a tiki. He thanked tile meeting for its cordial welcome. The Tourist Department staff gave a social evening to Mr. Donne on Monday evening. In the evening the citizens o'f Rotorua presented Mr. Donne with an illuminated address,
