The Takapuna, which was bar-bound at Onehunga on Monday afternoon, crossed the bar about 6.30 a.m. yesterday - morning and arrived at the breakwater at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. At one of the functions at Westport last week, on the occasion of the visit of the Minister for Mines (says the Grey River Argus), Mr. Hamilton said tjbat their efforts should be centred more on harbor matters than on railways, as until they had water sufficient to allow deep-sea ships to work the port they could not get the markets.
