The course was 20 miles, from the .Sydney erieket ground to Tom L'gly's Point and back. The competitors were medically examined before the start. Several were prevented from proceeding. Sinie (South Sydney) won easily in 'Jill's, omins. DO l-iisec. Wood, the second man, just reached tlie post in a fainting condition. I'or a considerable time he was unconscious.
