Ex-President Castro pretended to be ill when ordered aboard thio French steamer at l'ort do Fiance, but he was not allowed to delay, lie proceeds to TeneriU'e. On leaving he refused (o dross. The authorities thereupon placed him on a stretcher and carried him aboard a steamer, the ex-President being clothed in underwear and complaining of intolerable pain in llie abdomen and kidneys.
